Emu Cacciatore
4 Emu Steaks (4oz. each)
1 Green pepper, cut into strips
1 Medium onion, sliced
8 oz. Fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
1 4 oz. can chopped green chilies
1/2 tsp Dried basil
1/2 tsp. Dried oregano
1/4 tsp. Garlic powder
1 Dash black pepper
Brown steaks in non-stick skillet sprayed with cooking spray. Add onion, pepper and mushrooms. Cook over medium heat until veggies are tender-crisp. Add additional ingredients. Cover and simmer 20-30 minutes. Serve over broad noodles or rice.
